Medical research at GHICL
The Clinical Research and Innovation Division (CRID) at the Lille Catholic Institute Hospital Complex (GHICL) and the Faculty of Medicine and Midwifery is responsible for ensuring that clinical research within the university hospital complex is coordinated and of the highest quality.
The research projects (or clinical trials) are conducted on the clinical wards of the GHICL and are coordinated with the help of the CRID (methodological, statistical, legal, medico-regulatory, logistical support, etc.)

Enhancing the attractiveness and visibility of clinical research at GHICL, at the Faculty of Medicine and Midwifery and at Lille Catholic University’s Health and Welfare Centre. - Upholding ethical and deontological values, the foundations on which our expertise is built.
Methodology Unit: a platform assisting in clinical trial design (defining the study design, reviewing objectives, calculating the number of subjects, etc.), data processing (database creation and quality control), data operations (statistical analyses) and promotion (drafting papers).
Sponsorship Unit: organisation, administration, management, quality control, technical and regulatory support for clinical research.
Investigation Unit: coordinates clinical trials, assists with the inclusion of patients on the wards, guarantees the quality of clinical trials and fosters teamwork with GHICL caregivers.

Medical research: the numbers
Since 2010: 13 HCRP: national and interregional Hospital Clinical Research Programmes (6 national HCRP)
In 2021: 274 investigative trials, 85 trials sponsored, over 2,077 patients included, more than 138 scientific papers published, 6 science theses in progress.
